Sierra Schirtzinger
Sierra Schirtzinger is a Senior in the College of Earth Ocean and Environment pursuing a bachelor in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environment and Society. She is an active individual in the University of Delaware community, since she is on the board of the University of Delaware chapter of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers(ASME) and a member of University of Delaware’s Ball room dance team and club, Zumba club, Archery club, and chocolate club. Sierra participated in the Pitch 90 Speaker Series held by the Delaware Environmental Institute this past fall, and placed as one of the five winners. Currently, she is performing network outreach for the Center for Science, Ethics and Public Policy (CSEPP) and is hoping to conduct research this summer on the ethics of water quality and irrigation techniques used in agriculture throughout Delaware.
